7 Kerikeri Theatre Company proudly presents “Blithe Spirit” by renowned playwright, Noël Coward and directed by Jenni Prisk.
“Blithe Spirit” is a delightful comedy that introduces us to Charles Condomine, a novelist who invites an eccentric medium, Madame Arcati, to his house for a séance, hoping to gather material for his next book. The evening takes a hilariously unexpected turn when the ghost of his first wife, Elvira, is summoned, leading to a series of comedic and unforeseen complications.
Featuring a stellar local cast, this production brings Coward’s witty and ghostly world to life with charm, humour, and a touch of the supernatural. “Blithe Spirit” promises an evening of laughter, spectral shenanigans, and possibly a poignant moment or two as it explores themes of love, marriage, and the afterlife.

Doors open an hour before the show where you can enjoy our delicious platters and locally crafted beer and wine from our friends at Kainui Vineyard.
These will also be available to purchase during our 20 minute intermission and after the show.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is there any pre-show entertainment?
Yes! We are excited to host local musician, Alan Thomas, who will be performing a collection of classic jazz tunes for your pre-show entertainment. The music will start 45 minutes before the show.
How do I get my ticket once I’ve ordered?
After ordering you will be sent a ticket via email. Print it up and bring it along or display it via your phone at the door. Each ticket will contain a unique QR code which we will scan at the door.
What kind of seating do you provide?
Seating is on a tiered structure. Seats are not numbered and are therefore, un-allocated.
Please arrive early to get a good spot.
Is the show family friendly?
The show portrays alcohol use and smoking. Parental guidance is advised.
Is there an intermission?
Yes, there is a 20 minute intermission for this show.
Do you offer refunds?
Unfortunately we are not able to offer refunds once a ticket has been reserved, unless the production is canceled or significantly postponed. However, if you are not able to attend, please feel free to contact us and we will try our best to assist you with re-selling the ticket.
What if I can’t make the show but I’ve already bought a ticket? Can I change the date?
Our ticketing system does not allow for the changing of dates so you are unable to change the date once a ticket has been purchased. However, we will create a public resource on our Facebook page to assist people who are looking to sell or trade tickets.

Can I buy tickets at the door?
Yes, tickets will be available at the door, however you will save $5 on your tickets when you purchase in advance. The door price will be $43 for Adults and $30 for Students.
Can I bring my own food or drink into the show?
Please do not bring in outside food or drinks. We will have food and drink available to purchase an hour before the show, during intermission and for an hour after the show.
Will I be able to buy food and drinks?
Yes, we will have drinks provided by Kainui Vineyard available to purchase as well as food and snacks.
Where is the Black Box Theatre Located?
The Black Box Theatre is located at 17 Sammaree Place, Kerikeri.
