Join us for an unforgettable evening as the Black Box Theatre proudly hosts a live fundraiser, featuring the high-spirited Okaihau College Band, “SMILES”. Experience a performance by our own teenage member, Hayley Taylor, as she and her band weave their youthful energy into classics from Amy Winehouse, Etta James, and Elton John, as well as an original song penned by Hayley for the tangata beats competition earlier this year.
While enjoying this vibrant musical journey from the ’60s to the 2000s, you’ll also be playing an invaluable role in supporting our cherished local theatre. As a Charitable organization, we rely on community donations, fundraising, and sponsorship to continue sharing our love for the performing arts. With costs on the rise, this unique event not only showcases the immense talent within our community but also provides an opportunity for you to contribute directly to our mission.

Doors open at 6pm, Band starts at 7pm and the show will finish at approximately 9pm.
There will be a 20-minute intermission.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do I get my ticket once I’ve ordered?
After ordering you will be sent a ticket via email. Print it up and bring it along or display it via your phone at the door. Each ticket will contain a unique QR code which we will scan at the door.
What kind of seating do you provide?
Seating is on a tiered structure and we will do the best with this to ensure great visibility to everyone. Seats are not numbered and are therefore, un-allocated. Please arrive early to get a good spot.
Are there age restrictions?
No. However, children must be supervised.
Is there an intermission?
Yes, there will be a 20 minute intermission.
Do you offer refunds?
Unfortunately we are not able to offer refunds once a ticket has been reserved, unless the production is canceled or significantly postponed. However, if you are not able to attend, please feel free to contact us and we will try our best to assist you with re-selling the ticket.
What if I can’t make the show but I’ve already bought a ticket?
We do not offer ticket refunds. However, we will create a public resource on our Facebook page to assist people who are looking to sell or trade tickets.

Can I buy tickets at the door?
Yes, so long as there are tickets still available, there will be tickets available at the door. We strongly recommend buying in advance in order to avoid missing out as we have very limited seating.
Can I bring my own food or drink into the show?
Outside food and drinks are not allowed. However, if you have special dietary requirements or health-related needs please contact us at info@blackboxtheatre.co.nz to make special arrangements.
Will I be able to buy food and drinks?
Yes, we will have beer and wine provided by our friends at Kainui Vineyard as well as non-alcoholic beverages and food. These will be available to purchase 60 minutes prior to the performance, during the intermission and for 60 minutes after the performance.
Where is the Black Box Theatre Located?
The Black Box Theatre is inside of the Kerikeri Theatre Company studio, which is located at 17 Sammaree Place, Kerikeri 0230.
